Overview

The Order Data Extraction skill processes incoming purchase orders and produces structured, validated order data. It handles the data entry work that would otherwise require staff to manually read purchase orders and key in line items — product codes, quantities, pricing, delivery terms, and more.

How It Works

Purchase orders are processed through a multi-stage pipeline: format detection, content extraction, field mapping, and validation. The skill handles PDFs, email body text, EDI messages, and common office formats. Extracted fields include confidence scores so downstream validation can decide whether to auto-accept or flag for review.

The extraction schema maps to your order management system — you define the fields you need and the skill maps purchase order content to your data model, regardless of the sender’s format.
